In a post-apocalyptic planet overtaken by alien-engineered "Machine Lifeforms," mankind is preparing for its final struggle. Humans are resting their hopes on a troop of man-made androids known as YoRHa warriors after being forced to retire to the Moon for protection. The crew, led by the all-purpose battle robot YoRHa 2-gou B-gata "2B," will struggle to reclaim control of the Earth from its invaders. As the struggle against the robots continues, the YoRHa begin to perceive the first shards of truth beneath the cruel conflict. Faced with the brutal reality that awaits her, the unflinching warrior 2B begins to doubt her entire existence and how much she is willing to give for the sake of humanity.
