Mamoru Suzuhara is a shy high school student who reads extensively about contemporary combat in his spare time. He musters up the confidence to approach his crush, Aya Chiyono, and persuade her to flee with him after learning that she will be regretfully moving away with her family the following week. As a result, Mamoru, Aya, and four other students left and set up camp in the deserted Satomi Coal Factory. After having a good time on their first day, they unexpectedly realize that they might not be the only ones at the factory. The coming-of-age tale Bokura no Nanokakan Sensou, which is based on the same-named novel, is about a rebellious deed that turns into an all-out war against the grownups. The youngsters struggle to open up in the meantime about their emotions and safeguard what they value.
